I turned 17!

Hi friends!

Now, before I go into all the birthday festivities, I need to apologize. When I first started this blog, I really wanted to be committed to it and post at least once a week. Well, shortly after my last post, I realized how frustrated I was with how everything was looking, the layout, etc. In addition, I was going through a lot of personal stuff and the stress of a tough academic junior year, so blogging went on the back burner. But, I am back again and excited to bring back blogging this summer!

So, onto the birthday celebrations. My birthday was on May 12, and I turned 17 this year. I never fail to feel such an outpouring of love on my birthday from my family and friends, and for that I am so grateful!

The day started out with my birthday breakfast (chocolate chip pancakes) and presents from my family. I had to take a final at school this day so it was a quick meal but great nonetheless!

Right before I was about to leave school, I was called to the office where I saw the flowers my sweet dad had brought for me!

Here they are displayed in my room.

After leaving school, I made a quick trip to Starbucks and then went to get my nails done! (birthday present to myself lol)

For lunch, I had a meeting with my school's Yearbook team for next year, and afterward we all made a stop at a popular popsicle place (oooo alliteration…still got school on the brain).

That night, I went out to dinner with my family and came back to my house for cake. Isn't is cute?!

That weekend, I had a little par-tay with my best ladies. It was a great time!

This is the sweetest friend, Cate. She also has a blog… so check her out here!

We went back to the house for cupcakes. My friend Rachel took this cute pic and I had to share!
She also has a blog...check her out!

Here's the whole group. I am so thankful for these ladies in my life!

Sixteen was a great year for me, and I am so excited to see what seventeen brings!

Check back soon for new posts about my recent vacation!
